Marshwood Girls Basketball (4-2) beat Westbrook (3-3) 53-42 on Tuesday afternoon. Marshwood took control early but Westbrook made a come back and it was a 2pt game by the half. The Hawks out scored the Blue Blazes 30-21 in the second half to win the game. Shelby Anderson led all scoring with 20pts and Daniella Aceto had 14 rebounds.

The Marshwood Knighthawks hockey team lost to the Thornton Academy Golden Trojans 4-2 at Biddeford Ice Arena on Friday. Knighthawk goals were scored by Ayden Lockard and Caden Fontaine. Sumner Wood stopped 21 out of 25 shots on net.

Marshwood Wrestling results: Rogan Boisvert, Aidan Hashem, and Jack Anderson all took 2nd place at the Marty Ryan Atlantic Invitational. Cody Bubier took 3rd place

Good News from Marshwood High School Marshwood Math Kelly Crowley December 22, 2023 On Wednesday, December 14th, Marshwood hosted their first home math meet since 2019. Eight local high schools attended to compete in the third Maine Association of Math Leagues for the 2022 - 2023 school year. The students who competed are Thomas McClellan (9th), James Foss (10th), Lilia Seekamp (10th), Kayley Lin (11th), Jaelin Trager (11th), Riley St. Pierre (12th) and Sean Williams (12th). Marshwood students had a combined score of 146 points to place second at the meet. Marshwood will also be hosting the fourth math meet in January. A season consists of 5 total conference meets followed by a State Meet in Augusta in April.

Marshwood Boys basketball improved to 3-0 on the season, beating Wells 52-37. Leading scorers for the hawks Andrew Perry 19, Jason Singer 12 and Liam Tiernan 9

Marshwood Hockey lost to St. Dominic Academy 5-4 in a thriller at Dover tonight. MHS goals were scored by Ayden Lockhard, Danny Fuller, Zach Camp, and Bradley Wentworth. Ben Ott had 20 svs The Knighthawks play next against TA on 12/23 at 2:10 pm at BIA. Knighthawks Record: 1-1

Good evening! In anticipation of the bad weather Friday, Sanford Voc Tech has canceled their classes for the day. If any Marshwood students that attend SRTC come in during their time they should be at SRTC, they should report to the library.

Marshwood Girls basketball wins a tight game down the stretch outscoring York 21-9 in the 4th quarter. Savannah Nashwinter led the scoring for the Hawks with 14 pts, followed by Shelby Anderson with 10pts, and Sarah Theriault with 8pts, 8 rebounds.

The Marshwood Noble Traip Sanford Knighthawks defeated the Kennebunk Rams 6-1 on Saturday at Dover Ice Arena. Chase Turcotte scored 2 goals for the Knighthawks. Ryan Dumont had 2 assists, while Ayden Lockhard had 1 goal and 2 assists. Ben Ott stopped 11 out of 12 shots in net.

Yesterday, the School Counseling Department brought in a panel of speakers for the Junior Class to hear about Post-Secondary Options. There were representatives from a 4 year college/university (UMaine), 2 year college (YCCC), Gap Year (City Year), Military (Retired US Navy), and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Dear Junior Students, Parents and Guardians: We wanted to let you know about a presentation taking place tomorrow for all Juniors. There will be a Future Planning Panel on Wednesday, December 7th from 10:20 am - 11:30 am in the MHS Auditorium. This program, sponsored by the MHS School Counseling Department, will provide students with an opportunity to learn about post secondary options. The panel will include information about the college search, application and admissions processes as well as other post-secondary options, including opportunities at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, military careers, as well as, GAP year options. All juniors will be attending this program and we hope this is the first step as they begin to formalize plans for ‘life after high school’. Good News from the Marshwood Middle School and Marshwood High School Music Rooms Choral Students Perform At Eliot Tree Lighting Music teachers, Mrs. Bisson and Mrs. Michaud, joined students from the MMS and MHS choirs that sang carols at the Eliot Tree Lighting ceremony. Our district appreciates the town of Eliot for inviting the students and is proud of these hard-working and dedicated students for participating.
