*Where did you grow up and attend school?
I grew up in Saco and I graduated from Thornton Academy
*Where did you attend college?
I have an associate degree from USM in business and a bachelor's degree from UNH in education. I am currently doing my master's at USM in Informational Technology
*Why did you want to be in education?
I wanted to go into education to help students with learning disabilities. I was diagnosed with dyslexia in second grade and struggled with learning all throughout elementary school but I had a few amazing teachers that helped me. Actually, my third-grade teacher was the one who said I should be a teacher. His words inspired me to go on to pursue teaching and I haven’t looked back.

*Why do you like teaching or working with kids?
I love teaching because I am a lifelong learner and enjoy helping others.. What ARE some things you enjoy when not in school? Reading, Hiking, Fishing, Yoga, Kickboxing, and spending time with my family
*What are other hobbies or interests?
Reading and crafts
*Family life:
I am a mother of five adult children—identical twin boys who are 24 and live in Arizona now. I have Identical girls, 23 and one teaching in Old Town will graduate in May with her teaching degree. Our youngest son is 20 and works in Kennebunk. Our last child is Spook, our rescue dog. My husband and I have been married for 26 years. We have lived in Wells for 22 years and love walking to the ocean.
