veterans day

We were excited to invite students, staff, and community members to Marshwood Middle School’s annual Veterans Day Assembly on Friday, November 1st. Each year this special event is an opportunity for our school community to come together and honor the brave men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces and First Responders. The program included a series of thoughtful student presentations: 10 Things We Want to Say to You by 8th grade, Raising Awareness for Mission 22 by 7th grade and a POW/MIA Table of Honor by the 6th grade. As well as  musical performances by the school band and choruses, and a moment of silence to recognize the sacrifices made by veterans to protect our freedoms.

In addition, we were thrilled to welcome many local veterans who joined us as honored guests. Our students prepared heartfelt tributes and displays, and we encouraged families to attend and show support for these courageous individuals. This assembly serves as a meaningful way for our students to learn about the importance of service and patriotism. We were grateful to see everyone come together to show our gratitude and respect for our veterans.

Thank you to Ms. Kris Bisson for planning and executing this opportunity for our school and community each year.
