🎉🎉 Huge congratulations to our amazing ELA teacher, Mrs. Schoff, for winning a set of books from the Children’s Book Council for our school! 📚✨ Her unwavering dedication to nurturing a love for reading in each student.
The Children’s Book Council is an award-winning nonprofit that celebrates the wonderful influence books have on kids and teens. They organize a variety of book awards, offer fun and educational programs, promote diversity in the publishing world, and create free reading lists and resources for teachers, librarians, booksellers, and caregivers. Schools across the country can apply to participate, and this year, 70 schools were chosen to receive free books!
Mrs.Schoff entered Marshwood Middle School and we were selected! MMS received 242 books from the Children’s Book Council. If we catalog, display, and encourage students to read and vote on these books, we get to keep them all. Voting is being done by our students, teachers, and our librarian, Kristy Corriveau.
There is a special display in the library where students can check out these books, and voting ballots are super easy to fill out. Please encourage your MMS student to dive into one of these fantastic reads from the Children’s Book Council collection!
