We had our Core Value Celebration this afternoon. Students, staff and some parents joined together in the gymnasium to show appreciation for our students who have shown responsibility this month. Mrs. Goulet reminded our school of our values: courage, respect, compassion, honesty, fairness and responsibility. November and December we celebrated responsibility:
Responsibility means being dependable, making good choices, and taking accountability for your actions.
A responsible citizen looks out for the well being of others and understands we all have a part to play in making the world a better place.
Every morning staff and students are reminded to choose act in a way that shows fairness. The following students earned awards for Responsibility: Madalyn Bunker, Evan Richards, Grant Palardy, Alexa Glennon, Hannah Walden, Lily Allis, Max von Speilgelfield, Kaiden Camrell, and Lilli Maynard.
Belle Cormier was recognized for fairness. Fairness is the core value we celebrated last night. Her contributions to MMS are many but her teachers highlighted her positive attitude, adaptability and the way she encourages her peers to be accepting of all.
The assembly concluded with a YMCA dance party led by a very fun and festive bunch of staff members!
Thank you to all of our students that exemplify our core values day in and day out. Thank you to our parents that joined us for the assembly! Fun was had by all!
