Class of 2028 Service Project this Year to Partner with the Center For Wildlife
Scott Patch
The class of 2028 service project this year is to partner with the Center For Wildlife (CFW) and support their ambassador program. The CFW is located in Cape Neddick near the entrance to Mount Agamenticus and for 38 years their facility has treated over 82,000 injured and orphaned wild animals and presented programming to thousands of community members annually.
Each of the 13 advisories and their advisors selected an ambassador animal to adopt and donated the $25 adoption fee. On Wednesday, December 4th, and on Friday, the 13th the CFW staff and a few ambassadors visited MHS during the advisory period. Following the visits, the students presented Bob from CFW with a $325 check for the adoptions. Plans are being discussed to include a class field trip to the Center to perform community service and meet and greet their adopted ambassadors.
The Outdoor Education Program began in 2012 when Marshwood High School Educator, Scott Patch, was awarded a Marshwood Education Foundation grant for HOLD (Hawk Outdoor Leadership Development)
