Eliot Elementary School Students-Eliot History Experts
Eliot Elementary School’s second-grade students participated in Eliot History Expert Groups and completed a variety of projects based on Eliot's history. Students learned about the past while covering such topics as brickyards, brickmaking, the gundalow, the eight one-room school houses, mapping, Shem Drone and his famous weathervane, the Nightingale Clipper Ship - shipbuilding, the nautical alphabet, and what it would have been like to attend a one-room school house.
On completion of these projects, students achieved “Junior Historian” status! Congratulations to Eliot Elementary School second grade who participated in Eliot History Expert Groups and completed a variety of projects based on Eliot's history. On completion of these projects, students achieved “Junior Historian” status. EES 2nd graders visited the #8 schoolhouse on June 7th and 8th.
