Last week, Central School students participated in the 2025 Read ME Agricultural program with special readers Mrs. Joy and Mrs. White. ME Agriculture provided every classroom with this year's book: "Farmer Eva's Green Garden Life" written by Jacqueline Briggs Martin and illustrated by Christy Hale. Mrs. Joy and Mrs. White extended student learning with hands-on learning including different soil samples (that compare different types of soil), worm habitats, and several herbs to touch and smell. Each class was also provided with microgreens to plant as a follow up activity and some classes have already been able to taste the microgreens! Thank you to ME Agriculture in the Classroom for donating the books and Mrs. Joy and Mrs. White for their commitment to providing rich learning for all of our students!
