Central School’s Mood Boost Event

On October 15th, Registered Dietitian Laura Bantle and UNH Dietetic Intern Kelley Shanahan visited Central Elementary School during lunchtime, eager to share the powerful connection between food, health, and mood with the students. As this concept is a part of the Mood Boost program, they passed around red pepper hummus and whole grain tortilla chips and highlighted how magnesium in the hummus was known to have calming properties. It was a heartwarming experience that not only educated young minds about nutrition but also fostered a sense of mindful eating practices.
